A 59-year-old man in Worcester, Mass. was arrested earlier this month for an attempted assault on a police horse. During the Latin American Festival, while spirits were high, authorities claimed a man attempted to march through a group of officers on horseback after being told to go around. The man allegedly pushed his shoulder into a full-grown police horse in an attempt to move the group. He was quickly grabbed by the scruff of his neck and moved to the front of the horses. At this point, things go from bad to worse when the drunken man threw a punch at the horse. This in turn created a dangerous situation for the mounted officer as the horse reared up. The man was arrested and taken into custody but not before kicking two more officers.
